Governor's Day

It's that time of year again, and this year we were able to attend Governor's Day for the SECOND time. Quite the accomplishment, I think. :) We got there early and noticed that the zipline was already set up. Last year the kids weren't able to do it, because the line was so long. We took advantage of being early and let the kids go. Several times.

Picture Day

It seems like picture day came ridiculously early this year. Maybe the school scheduled late (being a brand new school) and had to schedule when there was an opening...? Not sure. At any rate, it was early, as in the tenth day of school. I like doing simple things for picture day, so A and I decided to do her hair...

Stolen

I recently got my hands on Jasmine & Brittany's camera (to get Rush's soccer pictures). I may have told them that I would delete the rest of the pictures, but there were some that I really wanted to keep. I've decided to share the wealth.

Preschool!!

Q was supposed to start preschool last Wednesday, but Tuesday evening started in with a fever. She still wasn't doing well Thursday, so we decided to let her rest one more day and start out this week. She woke up this morning and was SO excited when we told her it was preschool day...

Soccer

R started playing soccer about a week before school started. He is playing in the county recreational league and he's having a great time. I love watching my kids learn and grow in something they love, so watching R play soccer has been a treat for me...

Cougars!

Football season has started, which means cool autumn nights aren't far behind. I'd be lying if I didn't say I am ECSTATIC. I LOVE fall, football, chili weather, crispy leaves... the list goes on.

DRILL

After participating in cheer camp this summer, we are all about the fun mini-teams the girls at the high school do. When we got a flier for a mini-drill camp, we signed A up. She spent last week learning a couple routines for Friday's football game, then performed at the game on Friday. I think she did an awesome job!

Glamorous

Jazzy came over one afternoon and wanted to hang out with the girls. Andrew was heading over to the parents' house, and I was working on a sewing project, so Jas & the girls were on their own. Jasmine took pictures, and from what I can see, it looks like they had a fabulous time doing makeup, playing dress-up, eating ice cream, and doing anything else their hearts desired.

A zoo of sorts...

Monday was Labor Day. We didn't have anything planned really, so we decided we'd go downtown to the Church History Museum. The kids were so excited - and so was I. I am a total history nerd, and the Church History Museum can hold me captivated for hours - no kidding...

Choir!

R had a choir concert / play in the last part of May at his old school.  The performance was based on a radio show in the 50s. The kids sang songs from that era, and there were advertisements and even a mystery show...

S Explains Asperger's

Waaaay back, not long after S was first diagnosed with Asperger's, we had family come out to visit.  S was excited to share what we had learned about Asperger's, and Jasmine recorded it all with the camcorder.  It has taken me at least nine months to get it edited, and while I say "edited" I do not imply that I did the editing.  Brittany was kind (and patient) enough to do it for me this week.  Yay!

Better Late Than Never...

I am not a scrapbooker. When my parents moved to Utah, I was invited to go to a friend's young women leader's house. We were going to scrapbook. I made two pages, which, frankly, sort of stunk. Also, I had absolutely nothing to do with them, as I had no scrapbook. Thirteen years later, the pages are loosely stored in a box...

Take Two!

Rush and I decided to re-do his first day of school pictures. He did a great job of following through and helping me to remember. :) {Click here to see this post.}
