Spring!

Jazzy & I made SPRING blocks to display. As usual, hers turned out much cuter than mine, even though mine were acceptable. I've come to the conclusion that my first suspicion of only being able to copy and not so much create is accurate. At least I can copy, right?

I have a bunch of random pictures that I've decided to just compile into one huge post. Lucky reader...

Rainbow

I love rainbows. I have always loved rainbows. As a little girl, I loved Rainbow Brite. I had her record. It was, I'm positive, the most beautiful record ever made. I saw Rainbow Brite live once. I still remember watching her and loving her more and more. When I learned that the "color" of the ribbon for Asperger's / Autism awareness is rainbow (it's a spectrum, right?), I was very very happy. :) I didn't waste any time making a key chain. The original keychain broke, so I set out to make a new one. I
came up with many possibilities...

Stick a Fork In It

Every Sunday evening our sweet and agreeable Q is replaced with this little monster. Sunday-Night-Q is very particular, even when she's not sure what it is she actually wants (which happens often, unfortunately). She is also not as steady on her feet, which is how this particular owie came to be. One Sunday evening we were having dinner at the grandparents' house. One minute SNQ was squirming in her seat, and the next she was on the floor with a fork in her cheek. Fortunately the fork didn't go all the way through...

Purdy.

Just a few random times that my girls have looked especially pretty. :)

I've gotten a little more adventurous lately. I actually left Anna's hair down one day. We braided a small portion to keep it out of her face, and then blow-dried the rest. Needless to say, it was pretty...

Stickers

S loves stickers. They're sort of her thing. I've taken a page out of Katie's book and have stocked our diaper bag with stickers and a small notebook for sticking. It's a perfect activity for church or the doctor's office. When Charlie & April were visiting, we went downtown. Of course Katie pulled out the stickers. I was surprised when she didn't stick them on paper though. She stuck quite a few on my arm. It made me feel loved...

Recent Craftiness

I have made a few things recently. I love making things. I love looking at the things I make. This is one of the things in life that makes me feel happy inside...

Skating

A & R each have a pair of roller blades. R rides around on his occassionally, but A rides on hers constantly. It was so often that I finally made her a little tote to carry her shoes in so she wasn't riding around the neighborhood with a Wal-Mart bag on her back anymore. :) Of course Q wants to be just like her older siblings, so one afternoon the big kids put skates (and a helmet, of course) on her. She did really well. :)

Biggest Loser!

Shellee and Brittany decided that they were going to try out for The Biggest Loser and asked me if I would come with them. I decided that if I was going to go, I may as well audition too. Needless to say, none of us made it. It was a super fun day though - spent acting goofy and having a good time...

Mischief-Makers

Guess which of the of my children are involved in this one. Did you guess Q? If you did, you are SO right. I've noticed a recurring theme in life with her lately. Quite often it also involves S. In fact, it almost always involves...

Staple!

About forty-five minutes after they left I got the call. It was A and she was a little frantic.

"Mom! S hit his head and he's bleeding! Everywhere!"...

Winter Zoo

Q and I have been to the zoo two times this winter. The first time we went with S and Aunt K. It was SO cold! The girls were good sports though, and weren't cranky at all. They were fascinated with the animals...

BYU Basketball / Girls' Night

When I bought Andrew's Christmas present (a BYU hoodie) from the bookstore, I was given a voucher for four free basketball tickets. Andrew, being the smart cookie he is, took the vouchers right in and redeemed them for tickets to what (we had hoped) to be one BYU's biggest games. On the night of the game (BYU vs New Mexico?), he and Dad took the boys down to Provo. Mom, Brittany, A, Q, and I headed out to Burger King. Ooops. I mean Olive Garden. :) (We told A the entire ride there that we were going to the big BK. She was not happy.)

Big Girl!

Q is sort of ready to potty-train. Basically, she knows when she has to go, but she is resistant to actually GO on the potty. At any rate, we have put panties on her a couple times. One such time, she wanted me to take...
