Organization

Despite the way my house looks right now, I happen to love organization. For months and months I have been literally battling my craft supplies. I have tried labeling bins, dedicating our extra bedroom (and therefore closet) to crafts and craft supplies, little plastic drawers, you name it. I finally realized that even if all of my craft stuff was in organized and labeled bins, I still had to move all of the bins on top in order to access the bins below them. It was SO frustrating! I resigned myself to buying a shelf for the craft room closet. After finding the perfect shelf on KSL, I purchased comic book boards to organize and store my fabric, and I found some cute containers at Ikea for more organization. I LOVE looking at my closet, and I love even more how easy it is to get to my stuff...

Spring Piano

R & A have been taking piano lessons. This spring their teacher decided to go low-key for the recital and have it at the neighborhood church. It was honestly right up my alley. We drove five minutes to get there, listened to the kids' recital pieces for no longer than forty minutes, ate yummy refreshments, and went home. Pretty amazing. Andrew took the kids' pictures before the recital...

K'Nex

Rush has always been a pretty mechanical kid. At two, he was taking apart our jelly belly gumball machine and reassembling the thing. At this age, he loves Legos and K'Nex. His favorite things to build with K'nex are roller coasters. He has a couple different sets, and he likes to combine them and make up his own paths. They're pretty neat to watch and he's using his brain-power. Double score!

Easter Eggs

We have almost always dyed easter eggs with lots of family. This year it came to be only us, and it was nice. R is getting older, and really took charge of doing the more difficult decorating - tye dye, glitter, etc..

Go, Go, Go!

Q & S really love playing Ring-around-the-rosie. Their first time playing together was fun to watch. They were distracted by television shows, going "faster!", slamming into each other, chasing, acting like puppy dogs, you name it. I'm glad we were able to get it all on camera. :)

Springtime means baby animals!

Andrew took the kids to Thanksgiving Point Farm Country. I love seeing the baby animals there every year - they're just so cute! The kids had a good time too...

Cupcakes!

One morning I slept in. Let's rephrase that. One OF the mornings I slept in, R and A decided to make cupcakes. Not only did the cupcakes taste yummy (R even separated the eggs), but they iced and sprinkled them. (I think sprinkles were A's main responsibility). They also cleaned up their mess. Did I mention that I was sleeping while this was taking place? Waking up to the smell of cupcakes is something I could get used to...

Dentist

Somehow we got onto the schedule of going to the dentist for the kids' six month check-up every year on spring break. What better way to celebrate spring break than with clean teeth, right? I happen to love getting my teeth cleaned - I walk away and want to flash my pearly whites at everyone I meet.

So spring break has come again and where do I find myself, but the dentist with the kids...

(re)Pierced

Q's ears were pierced before she turned one. This was awesome until she started pulling her earrings out during naptime. This worried me - I was afraid she'd rip her ear. As a result, out came the earrings for an indefinite period of time...

Conference!

Brittany and I decided that we needed to go to General Conference again this spring. We decided to change one thing though, and bring R with us. I am so happy he came.

We started off by waking up early Saturday morning with plans to wait in line on Temple Square. I should have known when the sun started rising over the mountains while we were still driving north that we were really too late to get in that way. Last fall it was still dark outside when we got in line. Lesson learned? I hope so. At any rate, we waited in line for quite awhile...
